Media Innovator, Industry Leader, and One of Abu Dhabi’s Most Influential Voices
Asha Sherwood, Founder and CEO of Abu Dhabi Review, has emerged as one of the UAE’s most dynamic media innovators, shaping how audiences experience lifestyle, culture, and community content in the capital. Born and raised in London, her early passion for media laid the foundation for a career that now spans commercial radio, publishing, digital platforms, and strategic communications.
Armed with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management, Asha began her professional journey across multiple sectors—including hospitality, public relations, and journalism—gaining a broad understanding of consumer behavior, brand communication, and audience engagement. Her move to the UAE in 2012 marked a turning point, as she quickly became involved in leadership roles supporting global enterprises and fast-growing SMEs.
With the launch of Abu Dhabi Review, Asha introduced the city’s first community-driven digital media platform, offering residents and visitors an authentic way to explore Abu Dhabi. Blending immersive storytelling with timely updates, she established a unique editorial identity that reflects the capital’s evolving lifestyle landscape. Under her leadership, the platform has grown into a trusted hub for reviews, interviews, and curated experiences, shaping the way audiences interact with the city.
Asha’s career extends across both the UAE and the UK. In public relations, she has represented leading hospitality names such as Jumeirah and Fairmont, as well as prominent food and beverage brands including Spinneys Abu Dhabi and COYA. Her expertise also spans the wellness sector, having worked closely with Perfect Balance and Eleu Health. In addition to PR, she continues to engage audiences as an emcee and event moderator for brands including Kibsons and Cloudspaces, while also hosting The ADR Chat podcast.
Before relocating to the UAE, Asha held key roles in London with major media institutions such as The Telegraph, IPC Media, and Turner Broadcasting, where she led high-performing sales and research teams. This combination of multinational corporate experience and entrepreneurial leadership positions her as one of the UAE’s most versatile media professionals.
Today, Asha Sherwood continues to redefine modern media engagement in the region—bridging communities, elevating storytelling standards, and driving meaningful conversations across local and international markets.
